Jancis Robinson OBE MW invites you to dinner at The Morris

Come celebrate the 25th anniversary of JancisRobinson.com with Jancis.

On October 30, 2025, in San Francisco, Jancis Robinson OBE MW will turn The Morris into her personal dining room and wine cellar – and she’d love for you to join her. Alongside The Morris owner/sommelier Paul Einbund and chef Gavin Schmidt she will host a special dinner for the 25th anniversary of her website, JancisRobinson.com, and the 50th anniversary of her start as a wine writer.

Also in attendance will be Samantha Cole-Johnson, editor for US wines, and longtime California wines columnist Alder Yarrow, as well as CEO Lance Johnson and US Trade GM Joshua Greene. There are only 40 seats in the restaurant for this celebration of wine, food and JancisRobinson.com.

The wines will flow from Jancis’s home turf for the aperitif, with a selection of top English sparkling wines:

Then we will move into a three-course dinner, each course paired with three wines that have developed special meaning for Jancis over the past five decades – from Burgundy classics to emerging English talents, coveted Californians and a legendary 2000 Bordeaux first growth. We’ll finish with Sauternes from the brilliant 1975 vintage:

First Course: Chardonnay

Inner Circle members may request preferred seating with Jancis and the team. Book early as there are only 9 available seats at Jancis’s table. Inner Circle members can also choose to sit with Samantha Cole-Johnson, editor for US wines, or Alder Yarrow, California wines columnist.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Gerard Basset Foundation, to support California projects including the 280 Project’s Apprenticeship Program, (paid viticultural and vinicultural training to apprentices from underrepresented communities); the Glancy Wine Education Foundation, (scholarships to underrepresented wine and hospitality professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area); and the UC Davis Diversity of Wine Academy - Outreach Program.
